Anthony Joshua prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight round match which will be streamed live on Netflix.
Briton Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "break" his opponent as the two fighters came face-to-face to build hype for the upcoming boxing match.
Ex two-time unified boxing king Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge disparity - at Miami arena on December 19th.
Boxer's Mentality
"I'm going to break his face and hurt his body. I'm here to prove I'm superior," the British boxer, 35, said.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I intend to really want to hurt him. That's my goal."
Respectful Exchange
In spite of those words, a calm Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - usually recognized for his theatrics - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.
Paul instead targeted ex Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and called him "ridiculous" after Ngannou turned down a bout proposal.
Taking Aim at Fury
Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, targeted British opponent Tyson Fury - and declined a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a victory for Paul.
"Jake Paul is better than Fury - he's present here," Joshua stated.
"I acknowledge that."
Legitimate Opponent
Despite saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his opponent's boxing ability.
"Jake is a serious fighter," he stated.
Paul's History
Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has mostly fought MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.
He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.
Commercial Success
Nevertheless, the relative newcomer continues to be one of boxing's greatest commercial attractions, consistently making massive paydays.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28 year old anticipated a knockout win in rounds four or five and claimed he would prevent the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly being planned for 2026.
"It will be my match with Fury next year," Paul declared.
Physical Difference
As both boxers met for the customary stare-down, with their size difference evident, it highlighted just how unlikely this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is really happening.
